Mei Yao-ch'en was one of the most famous poets in the early period of Sung Dynasty's. He was mentioned always accompanied with Ou-yangxiu. He had nearly thirty poems related to dreams which could be classified three categories including friendship, failing to be an official and mourning for his adored wife. We observe the meanings about Mei Yao-ch'en's poems concerning dream by means of Freud's psycho-analysis; Especially, it may be helpful to understand Mei Yao-ch'en's unfound ideas that Freud said dream is a wish-fulfillment.
