    Abstract: The article presents a study analyzing the biodegradation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by using sludge aeration systems. It discusses three factors that were used for analyzing the emission factors of VOC including VOC gas-liquid equilibrium concentration, Water nine model and mass balance calculation. According to the results of the study, air aeration rates resulted in the effective and accurate method of simulating the emission rate of VOC.
