    Abstract: Champacaine (1), (–)-anonaine (2), (–)-norushinsunine (3), (–)-ushinsunine (4), (–)-N-acetylanonaine (5), (–)-roemerine (6), (–)-asimilobine (7), (–)-anolobine (8), (–)-isocorydine (9), liriodenine (10), atherospermidine (11), O-methylmoschatoline (12), (+)-syringaresinol (13), N-trans-feruloyltyramine (14), 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde (15), vanillin (16), vanillic acid (17), syringic acid (18), 3,4-dimethoxybenzoic acid (19), coniferyl aldehyde (20), syringin (21), scopoletin (22), 4-acetonyl-3,5-dimethoxy-p-quinol (23), β-sitostenone (24), and stigmasta-4,22-dien-3-one (25) were isolated from the stems of Michelia champaca L. (Magnoliaceae). Among them, 1 is a new 4,5-dioxoaporphine compound. The structures of these compounds were characterized and identified by spectral analyses.
